Bao Buns with Chicken and Soy-Sesame Sauce
Crispy chicken tossed in Beijing8 Soy Sesame sauce, stuffed into warm bao buns and topped with a fresh cucumber salad.

Ingredients
Chicken
- 450 g chicken thighs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 2 dl cornstarch
- 1 l frying oil
- 190 ml Beijing8 Soy Sesame sauce
Garnish
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (preferably a mix of white and black)
- 1 cucumber
- 30 g spring onions

- Beijing8 bao buns
Method
- 01Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan until golden.
- 02Julienne the cucumber and thinly slice the spring onions. Combine the cucumber, spring onions, and sesame seeds in a bowl.
- 03Cut each chicken thigh fillet into 6 pieces and season with salt and paprika powder.
- 04Coat the chicken in cornstarch and deep-fry at 160 degrees until cooked through and crispy.
- 05Place the fried chicken in a bowl, add about 1 dl of the soy-sesame sauce, and toss to coat.
- 06Steam the bao buns according to the package instructions.
- 07Fill the warm bao buns with the chicken and top with the cucumber salad. Drizzle with a little extra sauce if you like.
